When contract revisions change payment terms
What to check when a revision quietly changes when or how you get paid.
Look beyond the number of days
Payment timing can depend on an invoice trigger, customer approval, required documentation, retainage, or payment from another party. Compare the whole rule, not only Net 15 versus Net 30.
Trace which document controls
A signed amendment may replace the original clause while an unsigned draft may not. Keep the base agreement, revisions, and acceptance evidence together so the controlling language can be confirmed.
Surface the change before cash flow feels it
Sclerite can help identify a changed term in authorized files and link to the source. Review the original language and obtain qualified advice when the financial or legal consequence is significant.
