Your files
Sclerite is designed to work on your Windows PC with the folders you choose. Your file contents are not uploaded to Sclerite for advertising, sold, or used to build customer profiles. You can review or remove folder access in the app.
Account and billing information
Stripe processes checkout, payment, subscription, invoice, and billing-portal information. Sclerite receives the limited subscription details needed to confirm access, such as customer email, plan, subscription status, and provider identifiers. Sclerite does not receive or store your full card number.
Device and product information
To activate the correct subscription, Sclerite stores a random device identity and a signed access record on your computer. The service may receive a one-way device identifier, app version, activation time, and subscription state. Licensing does not require file names, questions, answers, or file contents.
Diagnostics and measurement
If diagnostics or website measurement are enabled, they are limited to product events such as page visits, trial starts, downloads, activation, and feature use. Private file contents, questions, answers, and document names are excluded from marketing analytics.
Service providers and retention
Stripe provides payment services. Website hosting and download providers may process ordinary network information needed to deliver their services. Billing records are retained as required for accounting, fraud prevention, support, and law. Local Sclerite data remains under your control and can be removed with the app.
Your choices
You can remove folder access, deactivate a device, cancel billing through the Stripe customer portal, or ask about account data by emailing support@getsclerite.com.
