Getting started

What does Sclerite do?

Sclerite watches the Windows project folders you choose, helps you ask questions across their contents, and surfaces useful changes, dates, and conflicts with links back to the source.

Which computers are supported?

Sclerite 1.0 supports Windows 10 and Windows 11 on 64-bit PCs.

How long does setup take?

Most customers can install Sclerite, activate their access, and choose their first folder in a few minutes. Larger folders continue organizing in the background.

Can I reinstall it?

Yes. Install the current release again from the Microsoft Store or the Get Sclerite page. On the same Windows profile, Sclerite can reuse its protected local activation. If you move to another PC or profile, support can help move the device access.

Files and answers

Does Sclerite change my files?

Sclerite reads the folders you authorize so it can organize and explain them. It does not silently rewrite your source documents.

Does it work with OneDrive?

Yes, with OneDrive files available on your Windows PC. Windows may first download a cloud-only file before Sclerite can read it.

Which file types can it understand?

Sclerite supports common project formats including PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text, Markdown, CSV, JSON, HTML, email files, and images that can be read with OCR. Results still depend on the quality and contents of each file.

Can I trust every answer?

Sclerite is designed to show sources and uncertainty, not to ask for blind trust. Check the original evidence before a high-stakes decision.

What happens when a file changes?

Sclerite refreshes its understanding of authorized files and can surface meaningful changes through Today and Watch.

Privacy and control

Does Sclerite scan my entire computer?

No. You choose the folders it may use. Files outside those authorized sources are not part of the workspace.

Can I remove a folder?

Yes. You can exclude files or folders, or remove an authorized source entirely.

Does everything work without internet?

Core work with authorized local files is designed around the PC. Subscription checks, downloads, support, and some intelligence functions may require an internet connection.

What information does billing receive?

Stripe processes the information needed for checkout, subscription management, fraud prevention, and receipts. Stripe does not receive the contents of the project files you authorize inside Sclerite.

Trial, billing, and support

How does the free trial work?

Choose monthly or annual access, enter a payment method, and use the complete product for 14 days. Stripe starts the selected subscription after the trial unless you cancel first.

How do I cancel?

Open the secure billing portal from the Manage billing page, or contact support. Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not erase the remaining paid access period. Cancel anytime without starting a second trial. Open the billing portal.

Are updates included?

Yes. Product updates released for your active Sclerite subscription are included.

Where do I get help?

Email support@getsclerite.com. Include what you expected, what happened, and a screenshot if possible. Do not send confidential source documents unless support specifically requests a safe sample.
